The AAFE CDF is a U.S. Department of Treasury-certified Community
Development Financial Institution, dedicated to promoting
and advancing homeownership for minority, immigrant, low-
and moderate- income, and underserved populations of New York

The AAFE CDF features a loan fund to complement its award
winning education, counseling, and mortgage referral services.
This loan fund seeks to address credit needs such as downpayment
and closing cost assistance.
To the AAFE CDF, community development means much more than
just housing and economic development, as communities mean
much more than just houses and businesses. For a community
to be vital, its members must buy into it – both figuratively
and literally. People must see each other as neighbors, and
they must see their homes as being truly theirs. It is this
vision of the American Dream of homeownership that inspires
our work.

based organizations to increase home ownership opportunities
for low- and moderate-income individuals by helping them qualify
for home mortgage loans through counseling and education.
