The AAFE Community Development Fund
The AAFE Community Development Fund is a subsidiary of Asian Americans for Equality-- a community based, not-for-profit organization established in 1974, committed to community service and empowerment targeting immigrants, low-income families and minorities throughout
New York City.
AAFE CDF is a richly experienced organization in the field of homeownership outreach, education, and counseling. In its thirteen-year history, the AAFE CDF has secured over $223 million in mortgage financing for over 1600 clients, while providing counseling to some 6,700 more prospective homeowners.
In 2007, the AAFE CDF counseled 400 new clients, helping to create 100 new homeowners with a combined mortgage value of over $20 million.

Each August, AAFE holds its Annual
Chinatown Summer Street Festival to celebrate immigrants
and provide outreach regarding housing counseling and other
services. In 2005, over 50 exhibitors, banks, health care organizations,
and social service providers participated and 20,000 community
members attended the festival.

AAFE collaborated with Freddie Mac to create CreditSmart Asian guidebooks that are available in English, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese.
